This policy explains what information Miami Beach Scooter collects when you visit www.miamibeachscooter.com, book a rental, apply for financing, or contact us by phone, text, WhatsApp, email or social media; how we use it; and who we share it with. "We" means Beach Scooter Rentals INC, 1745 Bay Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
Contact and inquiry forms, trade-in and delivery requests: your name, email, phone number, the vehicle you ask about, and your message.
Rental bookings: name, email, phone, rental dates and the vehicle you book. Payments are processed by our booking and payment providers; we do not see or store your full card number.
Financing applications: the information a lender needs to decide on credit, such as your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license, employment and income, housing costs, and the same for a co-applicant. See section 5.
Calls, texts, WhatsApp and social messages: your phone number or profile name, the time and length of the call, and what you write or say to us.
Newsletter: your email address.
Information collected automatically
Your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (city level), the pages you view, links and buttons you click, the site or ad that sent you here, and the date and time. This is collected with cookies, pixels and similar tags, by us and by the companies listed in section 3.
2. How we use it
To answer your questions, give quotes, book and manage rentals, sell and service vehicles, and process financing applications.
To send the messages you asked for, such as booking confirmations, test-ride and service reminders, and review requests after a visit.
To see which ads, pages and channels bring customers, and to improve the site.
To show our ads to people who visited the site or contacted us, and to people like them.
To prevent fraud and spam, keep records the law requires, and protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never share financing information for advertising.
3. Who receives it
Squarespace: Hosts this website, its forms and our newsletter. Receives: everything you submit on the site, plus visit data
Google Analytics (Google): Measures how people use the site. Receives: visit data (pages, clicks, device, approximate location, referrer)
Google Ads (Google): Measures which Google ads lead to calls, messages or visits, and shows our ads to past visitors. Receives: visit data, ad clicks, and whether you called or sent a form
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): Measures which Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits and messages, and shows our ads to past visitors. Receives: visit data and the actions you take on the site
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms): Lets you message us from an ad or the site. Receives: your phone number, profile name and messages
Our phone and text service provider: Carries our calls and text messages. Receives: your phone number, call times and messages
Booqable and its payment processor: Online rental booking and payment. Receives: your booking and payment details
Google reCAPTCHA: Blocks spam on our forms. Receives: device and browser signals
YouTube and Vimeo: Play videos embedded on the site. Receives: viewing data, when you play a video
Shopmonkey: Our sales and service records. Receives: your contact details, vehicle and service history
Lenders we work with: Decide on financing you apply for. Receives: your financing application
AI writing tools: Help us draft replies to reviews and messages; a person reviews them before they are sent. Receives: the review or message being answered
Each company handles the information under its own privacy policy. We may also share information to comply with the law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect our rights, or with a buyer if the business is sold.
4. Your choices
Cookies and ads: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, change Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com, change Meta ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram "Ad preferences", and opt out of interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info. Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Texts: we text you only when you text us first or agree to receive texts. Reply STOP to any text to stop them; message and data rates may apply.
Email: use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
Access, correction or deletion: email us (section 8) and we will answer within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, such as sales, financing and tax records, for as long as the law requires.
5. Financing applications
We use the information in a financing application only to process that application and the resulting financing, and we share it only with the lenders you are applying to and the service providers who help us process it. We do not use it for marketing. The lender also gives you its own privacy notice.
6. How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then delete it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no website or transmission is completely secure.
7. Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Renters must meet our age requirements in the rental terms.
