Is Lance a Chinese scooter?
No. Every current Lance is built by SYM (Sanyang Motor) in Taiwan — Honda's Taiwanese manufacturing partner for decades and a top-5 global scooter maker. Lance is the US distributor; the engine, frame and CVT are SYM.
Do I need a motorcycle endorsement to ride this in Florida?
No. Any scooter with a 50cc-or-smaller engine is ridable in Florida on a standard Class E driver's license — no motorcycle endorsement required, regardless of top speed. See our Florida scooter law guide for registration details.
Is the Havana Classic 50 freeway-legal?
No. Like all 50cc scooters it tops out around 30 mph and is built for city streets, not highways or causeways. If you want freeway speed, look at the Havana Classic 125 or 200i.
What does the warranty cover?
A 24-month, unlimited-mileage warranty — parts and labor, tire-to-tire — honored by us as your authorized Lance dealer. We register it for you at delivery, perform all service in-house at 1743 Bay Road, and stock common parts on-site.
